The Breakdown on Compost

Come learn how to turn trash into treasure through composting! This presentation will cover the basics of what composting is and why it’s important, how to start and maintain a compost pile, and how to use the finished product. Those who would like to kickstart their composting journey will have the opportunity to make and take home their own trash can composting bin. Join us as we get the “breakdown” on this biological process!

Franklin County Cooperative Extension is conducting a survey to assess the community’s needs regarding small-scale farming. Information collected will be used to help guide Extension’s programming for small farms and inform the agent on how to best share information, resources, and education. If you are a current or aspiring farmer, or if you are interested in small farms, please complete this survey. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
