On July 22nd, Franklin County resident and 4-H member Lance Williams was inducted into the North Carolina 4-H Honor Club during a ceremony at North Carolina 4-H Congress. Induction into 4-H Honor Club marks high achievement and participation in 4-H and guarantees members a connection to NC 4-H for a lifetime.

Founded in 1931, Honor Club is a statewide 4-H service organization with over three thousand members from every county across North Carolina. 4-H’ers are granted membership in NC 4-H Honor Club for outstanding accomplishments in leadership, civic engagement, and community service. In what is a defining moment for many 4-H’ers, accepted candidates are inducted into Honor Club at 4-H Congress in Raleigh in a special candlelight ceremony where they are “tapped” into the organization by an existing member.

Lance is 19 years old and is involved in a variety of 4-H projects, including being a Northeast District Officer, NC 4-H State Officer, and Nash County 2024 Intern during his experience in 4-H. Congratulations to Lance on this major accomplishment!
