- Thursday, March 9th Women In Ag Visit and Tour Howard Allen’s Faithfull Farms near Carrboro. Leave Ag Center at 8 am; arrive at 9:30 am at farm, 1032 Ferguson Road, Chapel Hill. See use of carpenter tunnels with intensive vegetable production; marketing at Carrboro Farmers Market, Weaver Street Market and others. Bring bottled water; dress comfortably; local food restaurant for Dutch lunch.
- Wednesday, March 15th Women In Ag Tour of Mayo Knitting Factory (local cotton to socks) in Tarboro. Leave Ag Center at 8 am; arrive at Factory at 9am. Visit Sock outlet after tour (CASH only); Lunch in Tarboro at “On the Square.”
- Thursday, March 16: The 3 BIG ones: “Fire Ants in Pastures; the new Asian Longhorn Ticks; and the new Animal Antibiotic Rule.” This workshop is Part 3 of the Regional BEEF series and the Winter HORSE Educational Series. $25 fee to register on Eventbrite; 4 pm with dinner served; continued with evening program. Conducted by Agents Paul Gonzelez and Martha Mobley.

- Tuesday, April 4 Next Level Marketing Strategies for Local, Niche Meat Businesses will take place at NC A&T State University Farm Pavilion, 8am – 5pm; $40 fee.
- Thursday, April 6th Hands-on BQA Certification Training (will be conducted in the classroom and in the field); “Freeze Branding” demonstration will be conducted, 9 am –1 pm. A sandwich lunch is included. Franklin County Ag Center, Louisburg, Annex. Part of the Beef Cattle Series conducted by Agents Paul Gonzalez and Martha Mobley
- Tuesday, April 11 Visit local vegetable/meat Century Farm as part of Small Farm Bootcamp Series (must have attended classes); 10 am., Meadow Lane Farm, 571 Leonard Farm Road, Louisburg. See tunnel(s) and fields. Grass-fed Beef/Pork burger and salad for lunch; Pre-registration will be required.
- Saturday, April 15th Annual Franklin County Regional SHEEP Shearing Day, for farms throughout the County; $6 per head plus travel costs division. Must schedule time with Martha Mobley. Contact the office, 919-496-3344, or martha_mobley@ncsu.edu.
- Thursday, April 20th Part 5: Beef Cattle Series: “Using EPDs to Fine-Tune Bull Selection”, with Jamie T. Courter, Ph.D., Bovine Technical Services Manager, Geonomics, NEOGEN, Zoom and in-person meeting at 5:30 pm,m then dinner followed by Dr. Courter’s presentation at 6 pm. $10 includes dinner. Collaborating extension agents, Paul Gonzalez, Sampson County and Martha Mobley, Franklin County.
