Nominations Sought for Business Scholarship

The  Herter-O'Neal  Scholarship, offered by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA) is available to North Carolina residents pursuing a college degree (Associates and/or Bachelors) in business or a business-related field of study. The scholarship is awarded annually to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, co-leaders in forming the NCCEAPA in 1973.

• This scholarship is offered to anyone pursuing a college degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) in business or a business-related field of study or enrolled in a diploma program that results in a degree (Associate or Bachelor’s), with the exception of current members or those eligible to become members of the NCCEAPA.
• Applicants must be a legal resident of North Carolina.
• The privacy of applicants will be protected.
• Scholarship amount: $750
• Funds are paid directly to the school and not to the individual.
• Effective 2008 – scholarship is open statewide.

Qualified applicants interested in applying for this scholarship can obtain an application packet from the financial aid office at their high school, college or your local N.C. Cooperative Extension office, or by downloading the application form. Completed forms should be sent to the Franklin County Center office by the deadline listed on the scholarship application form.

Submit your application to your county extension office by March 20th, 2026.
