North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Franklin County Center conducted a food drive in collaboration with N.C. A&T State University's Small Farms Week. The Extension at the Table food drive collected donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items for ingredients to make family meals. The food drive is conducted annually to bring recognition to and support our local small farmers.

The community pitched in donations of food totaling almost 200 pounds. The goal was to collect enough food to make a meal for ten families of four to five people. Items collected were delivered on March 16th to a participating Franklin County agency that provides food assistance to families in need.
