Pasture Weed Management & Control

Area horse owners and livestock producers, are invited to join Cooperative Extension for a WEED management program Tuesday, June 20th, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Franklin County Center, 103 S. Bickett Blvd.,Louisburg.  The meeting will begin with dinner from Johnny Bull's, followed by an educational presentation from NC State Weed Specialist, Dr. Ramon Leon. Poisonous weeds will also be discussed with samples for everyone to see. Pesticide credits will be offered.


Please pre-register to attend by calling the office at 919-496-3344 by June 19th. Cost: $20 fee for the meal and program payable by cash or check.

Friday, August 4th: 27th Annual Franklin County Regional Horse Farm Tour, featuring BUNN area horse facilities,morning tour followed by lunch (in the AC!)


Friday, August 18th: 11th Annual Franklin County 4-H FUN Livestock, Poultry & Rabbits Show, for youth aged 5 - 18 to exhibit their animals in a showmanship competition.
