Starting in July!
Elevate your impact on nutrition security with the Healthy Food Access Pantry Training Program. This 6-month interactive program, held virtually and meeting 1-hour monthly starting in July 2026, offers in-depth training and resources for food pantries.
Topics include the following:
- Understanding your community’s food needs
- Finding more donation sources
- Using the Supporting Wellness at Pantries (SWAP) model
- Keeping food safe
- Encouraging healthy choices with simple strategies, like nudges and bundling
This training program is open to both big and small pantries. We will meet you wherever you are.
It is preferred, but not required, to have a pantry team to participate in these training sessions and to sustain the work. (This could be pantry volunteers, community partners, NC Cooperative Extension agents, Local Health Department staff, etc.) It is expected that at least one member of your pantry team would attend every training session.
Applications for the July 2026 cohorts will close on May 31st or until all slots are filled. Don't miss this chance to enhance your pantry's capabilities and be a part of a resilient, sustainable food system.
Apply to join the July 2026 training cohort.
