Franklin County 4-H Members Attend Northeast District Activity Day

Eight Franklin County 4-H members attended the 2022 Northeast District Activity Day, which was held in Currituck County, North Carolina. The Franklin County 4-H’ers returned home from public speaking presentations and demonstrations with first, second, and third place medals. More than 100 youth representing 22 counties across the district gathered to present from multiple categories. Franklin County 4-H’ers presented in the following categories: Fisheries and Wildlife, Fruits and Vegetables, Open Class, Arts and Communications, and Citizenship/Community Service. Franklin County had one participating Cloverbud which are youth ages 5 to 7.


The 4-H’ers that presented at District Activity Day were Lance Williams, Emma Haynes, Mia Clark, Meredith Potter, Bryson Freed, Bryelle Simon, and Ayden and Kennedy Wyatt. All of these youth advanced to 4-H State Presentations in July to win more medals and ribbons.
