Additional information:
-The location of the camps will be at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Center. If the camp takes place at another location, transportation is provided but will still meet at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office or will be indicated in camp descriptions.
-Youth must be enrolled in 4-H Online to sign up (Link to 4-H Online 2.0: V2 4honline. You MUST register as a 4-H Member not participant in order for your registration to be considered complete.
-Each camper is encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.
-Each program will provide water and snacks.
-Youth will be required to adhere the NC 4-H code of conduct.
- Youth must be at least 5 years old as of Jan 1, 2026 to participate in 4-H.
-There are no refunds unless the program has to be cancelled.

4-H LEADS (Learn, Engage, Act, Develop, and Succeed)

Time: Vaires Daily-Monday 8:30am, Tuesday 8am, Wednesday 8:30am, Thursday arrive to Franklin County Extension Office at 10am, Friday 7:30am

Youth will be traveling to different county 4-H offices to participate in a tri-county leadership program that will consist of team building, learning about county government, public speaking, and real world real money, and much more. We will end the week at H2OBX. Everyday we will meet at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Annex and if we are traveling that day, we will depart from there. Please wear closed toe shoes and appropriate comfortable clothes. Youth will need to pack a bag lunch each day but Friday. More details will be shared closer to time about the H2OBX trip.
Hooked on Crochet

Join Franklin County 4-H to pick up a new hobby this summer: crochet! Crocheting provides endless opportunities for creativity, whether you’re crafting something useful or fun. Participants will learn the basics of the craft, make a fun project, and receive their own starter kit. Youth will need to bring a bag lunch each day.
Cloverbud Tech Talk
June 25th

Get ready for a fun and hands-on introduction to iPads designed just for ages 5–7! In this playful workshop, young learners will explore how to safely take and edit photos, create music with GarageBand, slow motion movies, play coding games with Swift Playground and Scratch, Jr. and much more. Devices will be supplied and each youth will have their own to work on.

Ages: 8 and up

Makers' Space
July 1st-2nd

Ages: 9 and up
Cost: $20.00
Two full days with youth using their imagination and creativity to build, create, and put to use challenges by using an assortment of materials given some direction. Some challenges may include building challenges, up-cycle challenges (paper bag book), design challenges and using brain flakes, dominos and pattern blocks to do challenges. Be sure to bring your creativity with you! This is by far one of the most fun camps loved by youth!
Little Green Thumbs
July 7th
Time: 9am-12pm
Ages: 5 to 7
Cost: $20.00
Dig into some fun and learn about how a seed works from the beginning to end. Youth will do hands-on activities to be engaged in this workshop. Some activities will include: plant parts we eat (taste testing included), design and make their own garden/nature hunt kit, make a mini egg carton herb and flower garden. Wear clothes that you won't mind getting soil on.
Aggie Day to NCA&T University
July 8th
Time: 8am-5pm
Ages: 10 and up
Cost: $20.00
Youth will meet at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension office and travel to Greensboro for a tour of the school, experience lunch on campus (bring money for lunch) and a hands-on STEM activity with the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
Wolfpack Day to NCSU
July 9th
Time: 8:30am-5pm
Ages: 10 and up
Cost: $20.00
Youth will meet at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension office and travel to Raleigh to tour some of NCSU campus, enjoy lunch at one of the campus cafeterias (bring money for lunch) and do a hands-on paper making activity with the College of Natural Resources Paper Science and Engineering. Youth are required to wear long pants and closed toe shoes in the lab. May bring a change a clothes for this activity since it will be a HOT summer day.
First Responders Exploration Camp
July 14th-15th
Time: 9am-4pm
Ages: 9 and up
Cost: $20.00
Youth will learn about the Franklin County Sherriff's Office and tour the communications building. We will come back to the office to do finger printing and more hands on fun. Partnering with the Franklin County Sherriff's Department. Another day will be spent with Louisburg Fire Department touring their facilities and equipment and a visit to see "Maude" at the Louisburg Fire Police Museum. We will aslo visit with Franklin County EMS to see EMS station and learn what they do each day. Bring a bag lunch!
Crafty Clovers
July 16th

Youth will have a chance to express their inner artist. Kids will be designing their own ball cap, creating window clings, freeze pop holder, and a popsicle notebook.

Franklin County 4-H FUN Livestock Show

Information will be going out at a later date via the email 4-H listserve, so if you are not on the listserve please let our office know so we can add you. This event is for youth that already have animals at home or have a friend willing to let you borrow an animal to show. We allow: cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and chickens.
