20 – South Carolina Botanical Garden “Second Chance” Plant Sale, 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Clemson University. Open to everyone, no membership required. Open to everyone- no membership required.

April 20 – French Broad Garden Club Plant Sale, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at 1000 Hendersonville Road in South Asheville.

21 – Identifying Those Many Plants and Wildflowers of the Southern Blue Ridge with Bernard Arghiere, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Asheville Botanical Garden, 151 W.T. Weaver Blvd. Registration $35.

April 25-27 – Spring Plant Sale, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Bullington Gardens, 95 Upper Red Oak Trail, Hendersonville.

26-28 – Asheville Herb Festival at the Western North Carolina Ag Center, 761 Boylston Hwy, Fletcher, NC 28732. Hours: Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Sunday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Free admission, parking, and workshops.
