The county director is responsible for completing the County Plan of Work for the new program year. This report should be completed after the county Program Impact Report has been completed for the previous year. All agents and other staff members who are required to complete an individual plan of action should be involved in selecting objectives and other information to be included in the county Plan of Work (POW).

To complete the county Plan of Work Program, go to the One Stop Shop web site, click on County Plan of Work, and work from the Plan of Work line. Click on the blank icon to Edit Statewide Portions of POW. This will bring up your new POW which will contain a copy of the previous year’s POW that you can edit or change as needed to develop your POW for the coming year. Be sure to review the County Background section to make sure it is still accurate. Check any new objectives you may need to add to your POW and/or uncheck any objectives that you may no longer need and as a result want to remove from your POW. Review the sections on Relationship to County Government Objectives, Diversity Plan, and Primary Delivery & Evaluation Methods to see if changes are needed in these sections. Finally, review and update the Advisory Leadership System section by adding and/or deleting names of committees and/or committee members. If you need to add an objective(s) to your plan of work that is not included in the statewide objectives, click on the Add County Specific Objectives to POW icon.

Once you have made appropriate changes, be sure to click the Save Changes button. The county director should then seek county government support (county manager or commissioners’ support depending upon your county situation) for your new plan of work. Once this support is obtained, the POW should be submitted for approval by your district director.

More detailed instructions with regards to the creation of the county POW can be obtained by clicking on the Help button at the bottom of the County Plan of Work page.
