The Upper Middle Belt Tobacco & GAP Meetings planned for Tuesday, Jan. 27th have been rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 11th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at Franklin Plaza, Louisburg due to the  weather. We will keep you posted of any further changes.

Join N.C. Cooperative Extension-Franklin County Center on Wednesday, February 11th, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for the Upper Middle Belt Tobacco & GAP Meeting. Lunch will be provided.

  • 2 Hours Of NODX NCDA&CS Pesticide Credit
  • Soil Fumigation training will be offered following lunch.

This exam will put the Z(CF) endorsement on your pesticide license to be able to legally use commodity fumigant products.

ANNUAL RESPIRATOR FIT TEST OFFERED FOR PESTICIDE APPLICATORS

You will have the opportunity to be fit tested at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office in Louisburg on February 2nd, 2026. Call the office by January 29th at 919-496-3344 to set up a 30-minute appointment to complete the test. Appointments will start at 9:00 a.m. The cost for the test will be $25.00 (please bring a check made payable to the NC Agromedicine Institute). If you do not come medically cleared, then there will be an additional cost of $20 for the medical clearance ($45 for both the fit-test and medical clearance). You will also need to bring your own respirator if you have one and be sure to shave before coming.
