Free CPR, First Aid and AED Class

Join the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute and N.C. Cooperative Extension for a Free CPR, First Aid, and AED Defibrillator certification course Thursday, August 28, 2025, 8am-12pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025, 8am-12pm in the Extension Center Annex, 103 S Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. This essential lifesaving training is open to all members of the community, offering vital skills for responding to emergencies.

Sponsored by the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, the event aims to equip individuals with the confidence and knowledge to act quickly in medical emergencies. The course will cover basic CPR techniques for both adults and children, first aid skills, and the use of AEDs to assist individuals experiencing cardiac arrest. Register online by12 pm Aug. 27 at  the below link. Topics covered:
  • Life-saving CPR skills
  • Directions for AED use
  • First aid for severe bleeding control, burns, heat-related illness, and other common agricultural iniuries
