COW CAMP 101: Back to the Basics

A series of discussions and a hands-on workshop will be conducted via webinar and in-person. Discussions will include the following topics and will conclude with a Field Day in June 2022.

Demonstrations  •  Marketing Principles  •  Cattle Nutrition  •  Cattle Identification

Session 1: Friday, October 22, 2021 –  A Freeze Branding hands-on demonstration, along with other methods of cattle ID, will be from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., at Meadow Lane Farm, Louisburg. (rain date: October 28); Box lunch provided. (This is an outside event, dress appropriately.)

Tuesday, June 21, 2022 – 5-County BEEF  Tour A morning tour of three farms followed by BEEF sponsored lunch; forage variety test plots; marketing; genetics. Hosted by Franklin County.
