Do you know the difference between jellies, jams, preserves, conserves, and marmalades? Would you like to learn how to make jams, conserves, and spreads? Learn the difference between each and make jams, conserves, and spreads.

Summer Spreadables  - Jams, Conserves and Spreads, conducted by Area Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences  - Food-Safety, Health, and Nutrition, Dominque Simon will begin with a remote information session on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 6 p.m.
  • August 2  - Zoom Session, 6–7 p.m. (required)
The following sessions will meet in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Franklin County Center, in the annex meeting room,103 S. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
  • August 3 - Strawberry Freezer Jam (in-person) 6–7:30 p.m.
  • August 10 - Apple Conserve (in-person) 6–7:30 p.m.
  • August 16 - Reduced-Sugar Grape Spread (in-person) 6–7:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $13 per session (excluding August 2 information session) Note: You must attend the information session on August 2 to be able to participate in any of the other sessions.
