Regional Niche Fruit Production Workshop: Monday, March 9, 2020

Back by popular demand, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Franklin County Center will be offering a detailed, hands-on training for those interested in producing a profitable niche fruit crop on their land. The instructor will be longtime Area Specialized Fruits and Vegetable Agent, Craig Mauney.

Registration will be from 8:30–9 a.m. From 9 a.m.–noon, production and marketing of niche fruits such as paw-paws, figs, hardy kiwi, pomegranate, etc. will be presented.

A sponsored lunch will be served at noon to the participants, followed by hands-on propagation of some of the fruit plants after lunch. The workshop should conclude by 2 p.m.
