Farm Bureau / Soil & Water Free Seed Program

The North Carolina Farm Bureau has established the “Hurricane Relief Fund” to support our state’s farmers and rural neighbors as recovery efforts in your communities continue. These funds are supporting multiple initiatives. To learn more or make a donation, visit our website.

Pasture Renovation Seed Initiative: To replenish lost forage and to keep productive soils in the fields, the Hurricane Relief Fund is offering summer perennials or summer annuals for pasture renovation to eligible producers at no cost as supplies last.
Producers with pastures impacted by Hurricane Florence and Tropical Storm Michael in the counties identified below are eligible to request up to $500 in seed for new applicants.

Producers who participated in the 2018 winter seed program may request up to $250 in seed, provided there are funds remaining after seed is awarded to new applicants. The total amount of seed that may be provided to a producer will be based on the number of acres impacted, as indicated by the survey applicant. Seed will be available for pick up at a designated seed distributor at a designated time.

All Southeast AgriSeeds dealers in North Carolina will be pickup locations. Producers will be notified by email regarding the day they can pick up the seed.
