Horse Tour Brochure for 20th Annual Franklin County Horse Farm Tour – Friday, August 7, 2015

Area horse owners will have the opportunity to visit three horse farms in Franklin County on Friday, August 7th. The annual popular driving tour will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and should conclude around 2 p.m. Participant registration will be from 7:30 a.m. — 8:15 a.m. in the parking lot of the Agriculture Building at 103 S. Bickett Blvd. (401/56 East) in Louisburg.  In addition to three equine farms being visited, educational programs will be conducted at each stop. They include “a pasture walk”, “no-till seeding of pastures”, “latest in equine diseases”, “soil sampling your pastures”, and much more. Sue Grey, Executive Director, NC Horse Council will be the guest speaker during lunch.

This year, all new horse facilities will be visited in the morning.

A sponsored, delicious lunch will be at the last stop at the Extension Center Annex in Louisburg. If you plan to attend, you must pre-register by contacting Franklin County Cooperative Extension at (919) 496-3344 or email, by Monday, August 3rd.
